Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer: Help Us Restore Lives Impacted By Trauma

Volunteers are an integral part of furthering our mission by donating their time and talents. We offer a variety of volunteer projects for individuals and group volunteers. Time spent volunteering with the Children & Family Advocacy Center directly impacts our client experience.

The Center sees over 600 volunteers annually: these volunteers provide resources of time and labor that allow our staff to focus on working with clients. We are grateful for all of the individuals and groups who spend their time at the CFAC. Groups may work a specific project to fulfill an operational need, or partner with one of our programs for an ongoing volunteer opportunity. Individuals may find themselves in a clerical role, or working with residents to help plan a birthday party or help with a group activity. No matter how a volunteer spends their time, every hour is one moment closer to helping the Children & Family Advocacy Center work with our clients to build resilient lives!

Making an Impact

Thanks to time spent at our center by volunteers, like the group from the Henkel Walmart Team, children are once again able to utilize our play house. The project took all day for the amazing team of volunteers who spent their time cleaning the inside of our playhouse, hosing down all of the toys inside, and putting everything back.

That same day an advocate was able to take children out to the playground: one child was so excited they exclaimed “Bye, house!” when they left the center.

Moments like these impact those receiving services at the CFAC.
